The Ramble Collective is an umbrella of community-based programs designed to turn disabilities into possibilities focusing on adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). We accomplish this through programs that create employment opportunities and access to affordable housing where adults with IDD can thrive in community.

Our Mission
To create pathways to purpose and community for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Our Vision
For Boulder County to become an inclusive community that values the full participation of people of all abilities where they live, work, and play.
Our Core Values
Inclusivity • empowerment • opportunity • community
Our Story
Our organization was founded by Andy and Connie Minden, parents of a daughter with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). They experienced first-hand the discouragement their daughter and her peers faced in securing employment after high school. So, they decided to do something about it.

2014
Originally incorporated as Boulder Treasures, Inc., in 2014, we opened Ramble On Pearl, a retail clothing boutique to host Ramble Opportunities. This program creates pathways to independent employment by providing paid work experience, on-the-job training, and job placement services for adults with IDD.
Today, now operating under the name The Ramble Collective, our program has helped 32 individuals secure independent employment. We also have several apprentices currently working at Ramble on Pearl, and a growing list of candidates ready to join our program as apprentices graduate into community employment.

2018
In 2018, we launched a new initiative, Ramble Community Connections (RCC). We collaborated with Boulder Housing Partners to create an Independent Living Community as part of the 30Pearl Affordable Housing Project. The Bluebell building includes 20 units specifically allocated to adults with IDD. Our RCC program offers residents a variety of tools and activities to thrive in the community.

2021
Following a re-branding initiative sparked by our growth, we renamed ourselves The Ramble Collective and opened Ramble Marketplace, a gift shop that showcases products and handcrafted creations born and designed right here in Boulder. The new store allows us to expand the capacity of our Ramble Opportunities program by offering new job training experiences to meet the needs of a broader range of program candidates. This allows us to teach a new range of skills to meet the additional needs of community employers.
Our goal is to continue growing our collection of community based-programs for adults with IDD and break down barriers to their full inclusion in community life.

2022
We are sorry to announce that Ramble on Pearl and Ramble Marketplace have closed regular retail operations. But we’re excited about the road ahead for our apprentice training program and look forward to announcing news related to the future of this invaluable program soon. In the meantime, we want to sincerely thank the staff, partner brands, businesses, artists and, above all, our loyal base of Ramble fans for their support of both these retail stores.
We’re tremendously grateful for everyone’s support for so many years. Please keep in touch. We look forward to sharing news about new programs soon.
